What does an AMV Subscription Entail?

The Stalwarts private website is up and running and we have around 50 members now. A Forum is currently being added for members to discuss what they like and to post their own work if they wish – photographs, writing, music, art.

I thought I could supply a little more information about what exactly is being provided to subscribers so that those considering joining might have a better idea.

Aside from the 6 stories – each episode of which will have 5 new songs – Sherwin will regularly provide more casual shows. These are 20 to 30 minute long talks that take place within the framework of the stories themselves.

By way of example, here’s a few minutes from Sherwin’s walk in the snowy woods:

The complete audio is 25 minutes or so. What is perhaps interesting about this is that these casual talks emerge from the framework of the stories themselves. So the first story “AMV40: The Three Benches” begins with Sherwin walking into town to get coffee. While his walk through the woods is described in the narrative, the actual experience of the walk is not. But one can then listen to the casual audio to actually hear the small adventure of his walk.

This concept will continue to roll out with formal stories and informal live “interiors” playing off each other until the end.

This week Sherwin will also be posting the filmed version of “Atoms, Motion & the Void” to provide subscribers with a deeper sense of his experience with the Stalwarts.

Live audio and videocasts are also planned. Again, these will take place within the context of the ongoing story.

A six month subscription includes a signed, numbered CD of each story. Only 200 of these CDs will be printed. This membership costs $77.76. There’s a month to month plan of $12.96 and a 3 month plan of $38.88. If you’re not interested in the CD – there’s a download-only option of $45 for the entire six months.

All subscriptions include full access to the private “Stalwarts” website where the stories will be available for download, as well as the regular new content.

Payment can be sent via Paypal to my email (sphurley@yahoo.com). Other forms of payment can be worked out. The CDs will be shipped at the beginning of each month. The first CD “AMV#40 – The Three Benches” will be shipped to arrive during the first week of January, 2011.

Lastly – there is no such thing as being too late. Subscribers can join at any time.
